![]() What the reviewers wrote about the Boat Log & Record Even the best things can be improved upon. The Boat Log & Record, which was originally published in a smaller version called The Boat Book was designed to help boaters keep records and provide suitable navigational information for cruising. It was an instant hit. In 1993, this classic journal was vastly expanded. Since that time, it has become the preferred organizer for boat owners, as well as fishermen. In addition to using the journal for recording cdruises, users rely on it for documenting insurance information, year-to-year maintenance and troubleshooting tips, navigation data and emergency instructions. This year the Boat Log & Record has been revised to include several new seections. Fourteen new pages have been added, bringing the total count to 176. A section for emergency numbers has been added, another for recording GPS waypoints, and pages have been added to the Boat Log and Record of Cruises section. In addition, tabs have been included to make finding a section easier. --Trailer Boats One of the most complete cruise preparation guides I've seen. An inexpensive way to get yourself organized. -- Boating If you're like most boaters, you'd rather be enjoying a worry-free day on the water than trying to recall if you topped the tanks or brought along the proper provisions. Boat Log & Record can prove to be your faithful reminder. This newly revised and enlarged edition is designed with ample space for recording precruising needs, spring and fall cleanup schedules, galley and boat supplies, expenditures, maintenance schedules and more. A special section on GPS waypoints allows you to keep a permanent record orf coordinates in case the GPS fails. Emergency information about a hull taking on wter or a man overboard situation is included, too, along with room for the captain to fill in his or her own procedures. There's even a section where you can list chores for cruising guests. While Boat Log & Record can't guarantee those chores will get done, this sturdy book is at least one step toward worry-free cruising. -- Offshore Offering sailors a framework to keep a record of their boat and its voyage in a logical and structured way. It includes checklists for everything. The heart of the book is a very useable Boat Log & Record section, each page complete with two or three literary quotes. --Mariner's Log Third edition of a logbook and cruise organizer; includes helpful information and checklists, plus plenty of space for notes and log entries. -- Woodenboat The ultimate boat addict's Boat Book -- Star Tribune, Minneapolis One of the most complete cruise preparation guides I've seen. -- Boating Magazine Can help boaters get their time and boats better organized and keep a personal record of their adventures afloat and their voyages. -- Northern Breezes Magazine An ideal gift for the boater. -- Lexington Herald-Leader One of the handiest sections enables you to emergency instructions..which can be followed by anyone aboard in the event you are disabled or otherwise absent. --News Tribune, Tacoma, WA * * * |
